Consultant of the Month – Six Monthly Winner

We recently held our bi-annual company summit, which gives us the opportunity to bring everyone together to reflect on the past six months, discuss our future plans and celebrate the incredible achievements of our fantastic team.

Each month we award a Consultant of the Month, culminating in a six monthly overall winner. We had five exceptional nominations and it was a difficult decision, however we were delighted to announce Laura Turner as our winner.

Laura has been consistently brilliant at building client relationships. But as well as being an exceptional relationship builder, she also has impeccable account management skills; managing several projects at a time without compromising on the high levels of client care and using her thorough understanding of the industry to ensure the highest quality service to her clients and candidates.

She is an outstanding team player with a great attitude towards work and is #TeamSolutions through and through.

If you’d like to know more about Laura, you can read her Consultant of the Year question and answer below:

Which office are you based at?

Middlesbrough (Teesside)

What’s your job title?

Principal Consultant

Which sectors do you work in and which is your favourite?

Accountancy & Finance – Permanent staffing (both Industry & Practice)

How did you get into recruitment?

I initially applied for a role with Reed and was successful, before coming to join the Solutions team last year.

How long have you been with Solutions?

Since April 2016.

What do you like most about working for Solutions?

Everyone is really friendly – both colleagues and management. There is no micromanagement in this company, you are trusted completely and left to your own devices.

What do you find most challenging?

Recruitment itself! It is like any sales job, there will be good months and not so good months. It’s being able to have the ‘bouncebackability’ factor and being able to remain positive when things aren’t going as well as you had hoped!

What’s your top tip for clients/candidates?

It is important to build up a relationship and work with someone that you trust to look after you (or your business, in the client’s case). It’s about taking the time to understand your candidate/clients’ needs and working closely with them to achieve the end result.

And finally, how does it feel to be named as the six month winner?

It is overwhelming! This company is full to the brim of exceptional Consultants, so for me to win this award really is something. It means a lot.
