Our public sector client based in Darlington have an exciting opportunity for experienced Accounts Administrator
Hours Full-Time Monday -Friday 9 am – 5 pm
To provide day to day administration support within the Housing Administration and Accounts Section.
Recording, filing and payment of invoices through the Agresso system.
Dealing with any Agresso related enquiries from both suppliers and internal customers.
The updating of tenancy records on the Orchard system and the recording of any amendments made to the system.
Collating and recording of flexi sheets for each member of Housing Estates and complete an audit check on all signing-in sheets.
Answering queries from the general public on rent account queries, former tenant rent arrears and sundry debts.
To maintain the Authority’s ordering of goods system by creating orders and monitoring receipts within Agresso.
Provide clerical support to the Housing Estates team.
The collection of monies from staff for all private telephone calls.
The issue of decorating vouchers to tenants when requested and then to receive the supplier’s invoices and code and certify for payment.
To complete the stationery order for Housing Estates team.
Assist with the production of quarterly rent statements and annual rent notices.
Maintaining filing systems
4 GCSE’s (Grade A-C) or equivalent
Experience & Knowledge
Minimum of one year’s clerical experience
Experience of dealing with telephone queries from members of the public
Knowledge of financial administration systems and procedures
Knowledge of DBC standing orders and financial regulations
Experience of Orchard software
Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
Ability to work using own initiative or as part of a team
IT Literate, capable of using MS Word / Excel and office packages
Ability to apply accurate literacy and numeracy skills to include spelling, grammar, punctuation, percentages and decimals
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
