My client, located to the West of Newcastle, is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Team Leader. The main objective of the role is to lead the day to day operation of the Accounts Payable function which consists of 2 accounts payable assistants.
Manage the accounts payable team and take overall responsibility for the Purchase Ledger. (Experience of using IFS business system is desirable).
Ensuring that supplier invoices/credits are processed accurately and timely. (UK and overseas)
Take responsibility for the supplier/expense payment runs.
Dealing with internal and external queries and ensuring that statement reconciliations are completed
Assisting with month end process.
Assisting the Financial Controller
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role with the ability to demonstrate strong management skills. Strong communication and organisational skills are also essential for this role along with the ability to look and plan ahead. Advanced MS Excel skills are also needed for this role.
