Assembly / Robot Technician Full Time


My client, an international group manufacturing within tier 1 Automotive are currently recruiting for experienced Assembly Technicians to join them on a permanent basis at their plant in the West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world leading group at an exciting time.


To provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas, carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on equipment at our Cannock site.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities

• Renovation and routine maintenance of assembly equipment
• Timely response to equipment stoppages
• Improvements to assy equipment (Kaisan)
• Adherence to departmental systems (Pm, recording downtime)
• Key performance indicators such as equipment OEE

Skills, Qualifications and Experience necessary

• City & Guilds 17th edition regulations
• Completed a recognised electrical or mechatronic apprenticeship
• HNC / ONC electrical qualifications preferred
• level of mechanical aptitude including welding, fabrication and mechanical fitting
• IT literacy, applications such as, Word, Excel, AutoCAD
• Experience with PLC (programmable logic controllers) and HMI’s (human machine interface)
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of the Mig welding and Spot welding process
• Ability to coach others
• 5 years experience within an automotive maintenance environment
• Working to the latest European Health and safety harmonized standards
