Business Development Executive – North East Full Time

Salary £22,000 with uncapped commission.

My client Customer Care, simplified is a customer care management application dedicated to the management of reported defects and repairs in new homes and construction projects throughout the warranty period. Designed and developed by Industry experts this secure collaborative platform allows house builders and commercial developers to effectively resolve any issues reported to their business.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant, agile and growing business. Experience of business development and/or an outbound sales environment is essential to this role.
What you will be doing:

  • Solve complex user needs and work across product, sales, risk, and operations teams to improve our product
  • Quickly understand, assess and address customer challenges and effectively work towards resolution
  • Drive business development via various methods including email campaigns, outbound calling and social media content sharing
  • Gain understanding of any potential client’s current customer care procedures and plans, and align those with my client capabilities to drive measureable value for our accounts
  • Ensure all sales leads and customer enquiries are acted upon swiftly in order to maximize customer satisfaction and our customer pipeline
  • Help users love my client by proactively offering advice on industry best practices and creative product solutions
  • Updating and maintaining our customer database
  • Execution of sales activities in line with internal sales strategies to build pipeline and customer base
  • Develop strong relationships with my client accounts to protect ongoing revenue stream and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • Providing ongoing support to customers via webchat and telephone
  • Providing client feedback to Product and Customer Success Manager and become an expert on my client technical and practical business application
  • Manage a portfolio of my client accounts from trial stage to onboarding, helping them through the implementation process to successfully adopt our application

What you will need

  • An ability to self-manage and an understanding of how to sell and operate as part of a team
  • Strong sense of motivation and the ability to be pro-active and take the lead in our customer care initiatives
  • A competitive yet professional attitude that never accepts success roadblocks and always finds solutions to overcoming them
  • An ability to perform under pressure and possess excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Proven success in closing deals
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, the ability to build relationships, challenge where appropriate and achieve buy-in where needed
  • Both a consultative and pro-active approach to Account Management

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has 2+ years of experience in a client or customer driven role within a rapidly growing organization
  • Has a knack for working well with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
  • Has a natural curiosity as to how businesses work, and will be an advocate for our top users
  • Ability to understand complex customer requirements and craft custom solutions
  • Ability to operate in a fluid and fast-paced environment

Personal Characteristics

  • Ability to independently identify, investigate and develop solutions to problems
  • Ability to function independently, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar account management role within a customer facing/experience environment
  • Must be able to demonstrate a previous track record of exceeding goals set around customer measures and sales targets
  • Experience within the housing industry or a background in technical support would be advantageous
  • Proven customer relationship skills, and experience working with customers on a regular basis
