The Commercial Manager will develop, implement and deliver sales plans in support of the businesses commercial strategy, identifying new business opportunities, while ensuring existing relationships are cultivated. The successful candidate will be a commercially astute executive who will lead the sales agenda from the front. Possessing a strong mix of strategic development ability and hands on delivery, the incumbent will build a robust plan closely aligned to the objectives of the business.
Possessing technical competence across metal machining, pressings and/or stampings, this role requires an individual with a diverse network of relationships across the automotive industry.
Bringing a consultative approach to selling, the Commercial Manager Sales will be skilled in developing and presenting engineered solutions to clients, having effectively listened to their challenges, requirements and needs. With a broader commercial perspective, the post holder will be able to identify opportunities in the wider industry and landscape, whether that be an opportunity for an existing product offering or the need to develop and implement an entirely new offering to meet the changing needs of the market.
Working closely with the sales team to build individual plans in support of collective goals, the post holder will coach, mentor and lead people towards the achievement of such goals. The successful candidate will ensure the structure and resources of the department are fit for purpose in terms of delivering short, medium and long term commercial objectives. Being prepared to identify need for change and take appropriate action to ensure resources are optimised at all times.

Bringing an analytical approach, the post holder will ensure the production of effective monthly sales reports, accurate forecasts and management information decks concerning customer development and ongoing commercial project work.
