Finance Assistant Full Time

This is a unique opportunity to work in the Treasury department of a large manufacturing company, well respected in it’s market and popular with candidates.

Treasury roles are quite rare, if you are currently employed in an Accounts Assistant role, Assistant Accountant or similar and would like a move in to cash management this is a fantastic opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Downloading transactions from company bank accounts for all sites
  • Inputting data from bank accounts to an excel spreading for coding up to nominal codes and vendor accounts
  • Processing invoices
  • Daily cashflow forecasts
  • Ensuring there is money in the account for D/D and Bacs payments
  • Making payments to suppliers when required by BACS and CHAPS
  • Making inter-company payments and transfers from GBP to foreign currencies
  • Making transfers when accountant has bought USD from GBP bank accounts
  • Setting up payments on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Posting cross-company journals
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Writing out cheques as requested
  • Request daily drawdowns

SAP experience preferred but not essential, Excel at an Advanced level is essential

Funding and support is available for candidates who are studying ACCA/CIMA but AAT qualified candidates and those qualified by experience will also be considered.
