Graduate Java Developer, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
c£26,000, flexible working, flexi time, 22 days annual leave + bank holidays increasing to 27 days after 5 years of employment, excellent pension scheme
My client is entering an exciting new era of technology led change, heavily dependent on a number of key skill-sets including Java lead development. As a result, they have an immediate vacancy for a Graduate Java Developer.
Initially a support role, there are genuine development opportunities to progress in to a more strategic role and the successful candidate will be trained in a number of skills included Spring and Hibernate. The successful applicant will be supporting innovative and dynamic solutions delivered using an agile delivery methodology.
Extensive experience is not expected, however, the successful candidate will have at least 12 months of commercial Java web development under their belt and will need to demonstrate their Java skills in a technical test and an interview.
– A similar skillset of Java database development ideally using Oracle Databases, is preferred.
– In addition to these skills any experience with RESTful Web Services and MV* framework such as AngularJS and/or jQuery, would be seen as beneficial.
