HR Operations Manager Full Time

Our public sector client based in Jarrow have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Operations Manager to join a busy HR service team

Temporary Contract

Hours Full-time Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm

Pay rate £19.62 per hour

The purpose of the role is:

To lead, manage and direct a team responsible for transactional HR services including recruitment, training administration, employment, organisational structures and HR queries, advice and policy (via a Service Desk)

to deliver excellent transactional HR services through best practise processes and systems to multiple customers, with responsibility for meeting service level requirements and providing excellent customer service.

Essential Qualifications
Demonstrate competence at a level equivalent to GCSE grade A to C or equivalent

Desirable Qualifications
CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice or equivalent

Experience & Knowledge

Experience of successfully managing a team working within an HR environment

Experience of advising and interpreting terms and conditions of employment

Strong leadership and organisational skills

Experience of local government and/or private sector HR

Experience of consistently delivering a service to customer targets

Experience of people performance management and motivation

Strong commercial awareness

Ability to demonstrate a strong customer focus and a passion for quality service delivery

A proven flexible attitude to work and an ability to adapt to change with a disciplined work approach to ensure deadlines are met

A clear understanding of the importance of integrity and confidentiality and the ability to apply this

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues at all levels and adapt communication style as appropriate

Experience of using an Oracle ERP system

Experience of working in the public sector, local government or any organisation of similar scale and complexity

Experience in an outsourced environment

Technical Skills / Ability
Strong analytical skills with proven track record of effective problem solving

Computer literate with strong experience of using MS Office

Experience of business process improvement

Self-motivated with an aptitude to accept responsibility for own learning and development including continuous professional development
