Organisational & Development Adviser Full Time

Our public sector client based in Washington have an exciting opportunity for experienced Organisational & Development Advisor to join their busy team.

Temporary contract

Immediate start

Hours Full-Time Monday -Friday 9 am – 5 pm

Purpose Of The Role

Contributing to the Service Vision “Creating the Safest Community” by supporting the Organisational Development Manager for the development, research and implementation of Learning and Organisational Development

EDUCATION/
QUALIFICATIONS

Professional Qualification in Human Resources, Learning and Development or Organisational Development (OD), or equivalent.

Recognised training qualification

Relevant qualification to enable administration and or interpretation of Psychometric profiling tools

Membership of a relevant professional body.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Experience of identifying, designing, delivering and evaluating people and team development interventions up to strategic level, within a complex organisation

Experience in delivering management and leadership development programmes that support organisational change

Experience of coaching (1-2-1 and team) in the work environment

Experience of managing teams

Experience of working in a flexible/agile manner to achieve desired outcomes.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Knowledge of:

Adult learning processes, techniques, methodologies and learning theories

OD tools and techniques used to support organisational change and improvement

Talent management and talent management processes

The broader external factors that influence Fire Service operations in the UK and wider.

Key skills:

Coaching

Facilitation

Influencing

Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Data analysis and interpretation.

Ability to:

Identify learning needs and design appropriate solutions

Deal with situations with keenness and quickness in order to achieve a good outcome (business acumen)

Understand the motives and interests of others in order to influence and build good working relationships (organisational awareness)

Facilitate groups e.g. using Action Learning Set methodology

Work in an emotionally intelligent way to ensure successful outcomes.
