We are currently recruiting for an experienced Paralegal to join a large prestigious company based in Manchester.
To provide technical and practical support in dealing with debt recovery and litigation actions together with maximising the rehabilitation of mortgage accounts & collection of overdue debt, providing a professional and informative primary point of contact for all customers, clients & third parties whilst maintaining the highest level of customer service.
Dealing with all aspects of a litigation focused debt recovery process including rehabilitation on behalf of our clients in a mortgage repossession environment.
Ensuring assigned caseload is managed effectively and in line with client service levels, court processes and internal expectations.
To process inbound calls and assist customers with overdue accounts to negotiate prompt payment and rehabilitate accounts within defined timescales.
To record all customer contact accurately on the collections system and update client systems where appropriate.
Answer client queries and provide status updates/advice in a professional and efficient manner whether this is via email communication or verbally via the telephone.
Compile witness statements or completion of court documentation as required as part of the recovery process.
Provide assistance to other colleagues within the department as and when required.
Ensure all work undertaken is in line with internal and client service level agreements.
Liaise with external third party companies, agents or other representing parties as required.
Treat all customers fairly, professionally and act within legislation, compliance and codes of practice.
Accept and request guidance tuition and training on the methodology of work, utilisation of computer systems and other assistance at work.
Carry out all of the above with the view to the provision of high quality legal services and the achieving of high profitability within the firm.

Candidates should be educated to under graduate and/or post graduate legal qualifications e.g: LLB, Legal Practice Course.
You must be IT literate and attentive to detail, with proven excellent client care and communication skills. You should also bring with you a proven background working in a law firm and/or working in an office/ administrative environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience within litigation and of managing their own case load.
