An excellent opportunity for a Paralegal or Legal Executive, with ideally more than 2 years’ experience, to join a successful and growing company based in Glasgow.
To provide technical and practical support in dealing with a caseload relating to the law of Mortgage Repossession.
Dealing with mortgage repossessions from pre-action and issue of proceedings through to eviction.
The Paralegal will complete all steps including the following during the litigation process –
Initial File Review
Issuing a Claim
Completing Notice of Issue of Proceedings
Liaising with Lenders, Advocates, Customers by telephone with a wide variety of queries.
Complete all steps necessary to complete an eviction following the receipt of a Possession Order.
Ensuring cases are diarised and followed up in line with client specific SLA’s.
Provide assistance to other fee-earners or at the request of a partner in the methodology and progress of work and carry out any research necessitated by ongoing work.
Accept and request guidance tuition and training on the methodology of work, utilisation of computer systems and other assistance at work.
Carry out all of the above with the view to the provision of high-quality legal services and the achieving of high profitability within the firm.
Treat all customers fairly, professionally and at within legislation and codes of practice.
The position would be ideal for someone with around 2 years’ experience in Debt Recovery or Mortgage Repossessions, and salary is dependent on experience.
Working within a supportive legal team, the successful candidate will provide technical and practical support in dealing with a variety of litigated debt recovery and mortgage repossession matters, in order to provide quality, efficient, and cost-effective legal advice.
The successful candidate will ensure their caseload is managed effectively and in line with agreed service levels, answer client queries, provide assistance to other colleagues, and liaise with third parties including external Solicitors.
