Based in Northumberland, a short drive from Newcastle upon Tyne, Royal IHC Limited operate across four sites within the UK, where they design, manufacture and supply bespoke offshore systems, including pipe and cable-lay equipment, subsea trenching equipment, subsea trenching machines and complete turnkey, integrated ship systems.
Owing to continued growth and future projects, Royal IHC wish to appoint a Principal Engineer to lead the delivery of technical aspects of major, multi-million £ packages of work.
The Principal Engineer will play a lead role in driving technical direction, leading a team of engineers and providing cross discipline co-ordination of a project.
With full accountability for quality, budget, project planning, safety and fitness for purpose, from concept, to detailed design, installation and commissioning, the successful candidate will ensure a project is delivered in line with defined metrics.
In doing so, they will champion excellence and bring an unwavering commitment to quality, utilising recognised approaches to continuously improve in pursuit of world class standards.
