Purchase Ledger Clerk Full Time

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an established team, based in the head office of a busy leisure park in North Yorkshire.

You will be an enthusiastic invoice processor, sending invoices to department heads for approval and dealing with suppliers about invoice queries.

The role will include the following duties:

  • Daily purchase invoice processing – high volume?
  • Matching, batching and coding invoices to correct purchase order numbers
  • Manually coding invoices that have been investigated
  • Maintain ledger accuracy
  • Set up supplier payments?
  • Company expense claim processing? Mileage? Credit card etc? Travel? Hotels?
  • Enter data on to Excel spreadsheets
  • Ensure invoice queries are investigated and resolves on a timely basis
  • Supplier statement reconciliations to ensure payments can be made on a timely basis
  • Set up new supplier accounts
  • Inform clients on new payment procedures
  • Maintain an efficient filing system

Good accounting systems experience and Excel proficiency.

You will be a good team worker but also have the ability to work on your own initiative to ensure that invoices are recorded and paid on time.
