Quality and Health, Safety & Environment Engineer Full Time

My client is a leading manufacturing and technology group with multiple UK operations. Working from their site in the South of County Durham, my client seeks a Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Engineer to join their Quality division.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the QSHE Engineer will be responsible for playing an active and integral role in the maintenance of the Company’s IMS system across QSHE processes. ┬áMain responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supplier management and development
  • Quality Control
  • Root cause analysis and improvement activities
  • Management of QSHE KPIs and appropriate reporting
  • Internal system audits
  • Regular reviews and ensuring adherence to HSE legislation and best practise
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Material quality analysis and improvement
  • Environmental and waste reduction

To be considered for the role, it is essential that you possess both quality and health & safety expertise and a good knowledge of environmental legislation in a manufacturing/engineering environment. u will possess a technical qualification (HNC and above, Degree preferred but not essential) Other key application criteria include:

  • Expertise and experience of implementing and utilising quality tools such as PPAP, 8 D and 6 Sigma
  • ISO 9001 and 14001 expertise
  • Candidates with experience and knowledge of TS16949 would be viewed favourably
  • NEBOSH certification
  • Excellent communication skills
  • First rate organisational and planning skills
