Receptionist Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Receptionist to join an award-winning House Builders based in Leeds

Pay rate £9.85 per hour

Temporary contract

Hours Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

Purpose of the role

To provide an efficient and courteous telephone, reception and typing service, ensuring that you and the Reception Area enhance the Company image at all times. To understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/ strategy.

Main Duties

To provide a courteous and professional approach to all visitors and telephone callers
To maintain an excellent standard of personal appearance, enhancing the Company image at all times
To record and convey, accurately and at the appropriate time, any incoming or outgoing messages
To ensure that items delivered to the Reception area are promptly removed by the relevant person
To assist in maintaining adequate supervision and training for junior staff, particularly switchboard and reception duties
To monitor telephone meters and be fully conversant with all functions of the telephone and fax equipment
To ensure switchboard, fax and word-processing equipment remains in a good working condition
Upon hearing the fire alarm, have sole responsibility for contacting the emergency services
To recover answer phone messages and convey details to the relevant personnel in a timely manner
To provide an accurate typing service, as requested by the Office Manager, using word-processing equipment to maximum advantage
To ensure that all completed work is signed by the appropriate person and, where possible, posted the same day
To provide up-to-date telephone and contact lists on a monthly basis
Inform relevant suppliers of holiday arrangements, e.g. Newsagent, Milkman, Post Office, etc.
Be aware of and record whereabouts of all staff
Be aware of qualified First Aid staff within the Head Office. Keep the office First Aid Kit in good order
To record any relevant holiday/closedown answer phone messages
Any other reasonable management request
