Senior Buyer Permanent

Solutions are working with a high profile organisation in the UK service industry to recruit a Senior Buyer.

You will be responsible for managing the Group-wide direct and indirect materials and services spend, negotiations and contracts. You will ensure all relevant stakeholders are engaged in the procurement function and also manage all relationships with core suppliers.

You will ensure continuity of core services, ensure pricing remains competitive and appropriate SLAs are in place, and drive operational efficiencies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • management of all core supply relationships
  • implementation of a best practice procurement strategy across all departments
  • management of all internal and external supply logistics
  • maintenance of effective supplier cost schedules
  • provision of effective management reporting
  • budget planning of future demands and requirements

You will be able to demonstrate experience of successful contract negotiation and creation with various suppliers, and be able to demonstrate strong cost management skills.

A relevant procurement qualification would be beneficial, together with a full UK driving licence.

Salary is dependable upon skills and experience.
