My client are FTSE 250 group with an enviable track record of success and exciting growth strategy for the coming years. With an investment program in excess of £200m to be delivered over the next 3 years, they wish to appoint a skilled Senior Engineer to lead a range of business critical projects.
With particular expertise in controls, automation & drive technology, the Project Engineer will lead projects from inception to commissioning on time and to budget. Working closely with the operational leadership of two critical manufacturing sites, the incumbent will interact with manufacturing, engineering and maintenance teams to implement new technology, transition legacy systems to new and implement business wide automation activities.
This is a unique opportunity for an individual to join a business that is investing significantly in world class engineering and technology as part of its group wide strategy on performance and improvement.
The successful candidate will be a qualified engineer, time served and/or HNC qualified with an extensive track record of successfully implementing multi-million £ projects as part of a major business improvement plan. Candidates will understand and thrive in high volume manufacturing environments, where strict adherence to demanding quality, cost, delivery and safety objectives is the norm.
Applicants will be technically qualified and competent in controls, automation, drives and software controlled systems, preferably with Siemens based languages but ideally having used several types of PLC applications.
Business focused, with the ability to develop robust plans, the ideal candidates will also be comfortable at a shop floor level ensuring implementation of technology is done so to the highest standards and without interruption to operational delivery.
