Solutions Recruitment are looking for a SHEQ Advisor to join our utilities client based in Derby. This role is to assist the SHEQ Manager in the implementation of Group SHEQ Management Systems and to provide SHEQ advice and support to employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent the SHEQ manager at client meetings
- Complete rolling monthly audits/inspections to ensure compliance of site rules and legislation
- Complete depot inspections
- Making sure that the operational teams are compliant with company procedures / legislation
- Produced monthly reports on behalf of the SHEQ manager
- Follow up inspections / audits to make sure corrective actions have been closed out
- Carry out investigations into accidents and cable damages
- Produce safety alerts for the contract
- Organise and delivered safety stand weeks
- Be an approved trainer in various subjects and deliver contract specific training to both managers and operatives
- Carryout company inductions for new starters to the business
- Provide support, advice and guidance for operational managers and operational teams
KEY SKILLS
- Previous experience in a similar role / organisation
- Working knowledge of the application of environmental law
- Relevant SHEQ Membership (e.g. IOSH)
- Solid understanding of ISO9001 and 14001 standards
