Supply Chain Coordinator Full Time

My client is a leading food manufacturing organisation based in the North East of England specialising in speciality snack foods for the consumer market.  Having experienced highly impressive organic growth through on-going excellence in performance, my client seeks a Supply Chain Coordinator to play an integral role in their continued development against ambitious growth plans.  Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational supply chain planning for the company.

Main responsibilities

  • Creation of weekly / daily production schedules
  • Forecast execution through sales and operational planning process
  • Daily volume through supply chain — considering stock life
  • Reporting on capacity issues, delivery issues, material usage issues
  • Ensuring high levels are customer service are met
  • Controlling distribution stock levels
  • Provide plan for purchases/scheduling of NPD
  • Communicating and resolving service issues with customers
  • Proactively manage FG stock to push through exposed stock- e.g. min life
  • Proactively manage derogation of stock
  • Attend and chair daily/weekly planning meetings
  • Coordinate despatch of FGs through distribution partners Issue daily supply chain reports
  • Maximise labour efficiency and capacity planning, procurement of 250+ products
  • Supplier relationships on a day to day level.
  • Material Control — Call offs, replenishment, deliveries, stock accuracy, stock movement control.
  • Analyse the production plan and ensure we have the materials to achieve the weekly plan
  • Analyse the forward sales plan and ensure material planning is aligned. Work closely with Operations/Warehouse/Supply Chain
  • Drive continuous improvement on all aspects of the role

To be considered for the role , it is essential that you possess demonstrable experience gained in a Supply Chain role, in a high-volume manufacturing environment ideally food & drink, process or FMCG.  Other key selection  criteria includes:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Demonstrable strength and experience of scheduling, planning and materials management
  • Demonstrable supplier development expertise
  • Strong Analytical skills including data analysis
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Natural problem solver
  • Keen attention detail
  • Project Management expertise
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong negotiator
  • Experience with MRP systems (preferably Sage 200)
  • Knowledge of lean/ lean 6 sigma methodology
