Welfare Paralegal Full Time

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Welfare Paralegal to join a leading national law firm based in Sheffield.

As a Welfare Paralegal you will work collaboratively as part of a team to provide basic welfare benefits advice and comprehensive administrative support to the team thereby assisting in the delivery of a quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities include:

Liaising with clients, colleagues across the  group and external stakeholders with regard to Welfare Benefit.

Diary management, telephone enquiries, record keeping and filing.
Keeping knowledge up to date to ensure advice provided is in line with current legislation. Attend training pertinent to the post.

Working closely with Welfare Benefit team members to provide support where appropriate. This may require, from time to time, working flexibly in order to meet deadlines or supporting colleagues in the Court of Protection or other departments.

Producing correspondence and documentation

Ideally candidates will have:

Experience in running your own caseload
Experience of working in a law firm or welfare department. Or personal experience of disability claims or knowledge.

A good range of GCSE’s / O’ levels at grade C or above to include Maths and English or NVQ Level 2 or / and A Levels/BTEC or a degree
