Solutions Recruitment launches training division

Leading recruitment agency Solutions Recruitment has extended its offering with the launch of an accredited training academy designed to better prepare candidates for employment.

Solutions Training, based at the agency’s headquarters in Newcastle, will focus on a range of employability skills before giving candidates the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice in a real-world work environment.

Working with candidates, the team of eight will help those seeking employment to prepare CVs, provide interview tips and review the qualities which employers will expect to see – including communication, teamwork, problem solving and self-management.

The team will also work with clients who are launching new business units or have rapid scale-up requirements, and will develop specific training courses which cater towards a precise end role. By combining the training and induction processes, candidates are not only ‘job-ready’ but ‘culture-ready’ for working with their future employers.

Ian O’Brien, Director at Solutions Training, said: “It can often be difficult to find suitable employees to fill roles, but by supplying dedicated training we’ve found that we can help provide candidates with the skills needed to gain meaningful employment.

“Over 87% of the people we have previously trained have found work, in a number of sectors including manufacturing, hospitality, construction and customer services, and so we decided to make the process more official by launching Solutions Training.

“The courses which typically run over a couple of weeks are open to all and will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the best ways to gain employment, as well as giving them the chance to gain work experience in their chosen industry.”

The training centre is accredited by Matrix and IA&G, and supports candidates looking for apprenticeships, as well as providing back to work training for people who want to start a new career, or return to the workplace after periods of unemployment.

In addition to working with candidates, Solutions Training will also be working with a number of businesses across Newcastle, Teesside, Wakefield, Birmingham and Leicester – upskilling existing staff and providing them with NVQs in areas such as customer care and food hygiene.
